Calories Burned Calculator
Find out how many calories you burn during any activity. Choose from 40+ exercises with MET values from the Compendium of Physical Activities (Ainsworth et al., 2011).
How it works: Calories = MET × body weight (kg) × duration (hours). MET (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) measures energy cost relative to sitting quietly (1 MET ≈ 1 kcal/kg/hour). Values from the 2011 Compendium of Physical Activities (Ainsworth et al., Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise).
MET-based estimates are population averages. Your actual calorie burn depends on fitness level, body composition, exercise intensity, and environmental conditions. Heart rate monitors or wearable devices provide more individualised estimates.
